Introduction
My name is Elowenn Finch (She/They). I grew up in a very religious household, and for a long time, everything seemed perfect. Until one afternoon in 8th grade. We were on our way back from a field trip and my best friend slept on my shoulder. My entire world shifted, and I realized I was queer.
Juggling the two faces of my life, queerness and faith, became so difficult. A feeling no thirteen year old is meant to feel. At thirteen, all I wanted to do was feel the breeze of the ice rink in my face, watch Nana, and worry about my, admittedly, bad grades.
And if you’ve been there, you know how heavy it can feel.
Still, spirituality has always been at the fore front of my mind, having been, at one point, a Christian. So here I am, still learning, and sharing all of which I'm learning with you all.
